Established on May 6, 2020, Haiti Pap Peri (HPP) was set up to promote education among vulnerable children in Haiti, one community at a time.
HPP was conceptualized with a group of friends from all different parts of the United States. Natives of Haiti they saw the crippling effects at the decline in education for Haiti, leading to an increase in violence and gangs. Haiti Pap Peri in French means “Haiti will not perish” and knew education was the key to change.
Education is a powerful agent of change, and improves health and livelihoods, contributes to
social stability and drives long-term economic growth. HPP’s desire is to support lower-income communities in Haiti to ensure that every child receives a quality education.
Only about nine percent of Haitian children graduating from high school, HPP sees it as
vital to ensure that children stay in school.
HPP’s aim is to create vocational schools, with the newest technology, innovative teachers, updated libraries and cutting-edge education to create hope for these children’s future.
